Just in time for halloween. This is IC63 The Ghost of Cassiopeia. IC63 is 500 light-years away. The highly bright star Gamma Cassiopeia’s interaction with the nebula is slowly eroding the structure out.
This image was my second attempt at this target and I hope to try this again in the future to get more detail.
IC1396, also known as The Elephant’s Trunk Nebula, is a region full of installer gas and dust. Elephant’s Trunk Nebula is a star-forming region with several young stars.
This was my first attempt at a Hubble Palette false-color image. It’s not exactly a perfect representation of an SHO image, but I’m quite happy with how this came out.

This is IC1805, also known as the Heart Nebula. This is a large nebula about 7500 light-years away from us.
The nebula shines bright red due to all the hydrogen gas excited by the nearby stars. The center of the nebula has a cluster of stars that contribute to this as well.
The other significant part of this nebula is NGC896, also known as the Fish Head Nebula. I captured this a few days ago in incredible light-polluted skies in my apartment complex.

I took this at Cherry Springs State Park, PA, over the last new moon weekend.
IC5146 also known as The Cocoon Nebula is a reflection/emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus. This an active star-forming region.
There is also a dark nebula B168 that surrounds the cluster.
NGC 7635 also known as the Bubble Nebula is an emission nebula in Cassiopeia. This Bubble is a result of very fast stellar winds from a massive star in the middle.
I took this picture a few days ago. It was almost a full moon at 97% and I used an Optolong L-eNhance 2″ filter to counter light pollution and the moon.
